The ninth
annual EPICS User Conference will be held in historic Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston has been one of the most-requested sites when we have polled
prior conference 
attendees, so we expect this to be a very popular
choice.
The conference will be held at the Doubletree Inn, located in the center of the Charleston historic district. When I visited the hotel recently, I was impressed that the famous market area was adjacent to the hotel and that carriage rides were available 1/2 block away. The harbor is only a couple of blocks away.
The Doubletree is a modern hotel housed in a historic structure. Many of their rooms are suites, providing lots of room for a family.
Weather permitting, we will have the registration reception in their outdoor courtyard.
The conference will be held on April
22-25, 2007. We will repeat the same schedule as this year a registration
reception on Sunday evening, conference sessions on Monday and Tuesday, and an
optional training session on Wednesday.
We will plan a group activity for Monday night, so that all participants can network with other EPICS users.
Make your plans now for a great trip next Spring, and for another great EPICS Conference.
You have probably already visited the new and improved Foy Inc website at www.foyinc.com. But now the web site has is even more valuable to EPICS users. A Knowledgebase containing answers to scores of questions and issues is available to all EPICS users. You can either locate topics using the table of contents or the index, or you can search by keyword.
If you have an EPICS related question, the new Knowledgebase should be one of your first resources. The Knowledgebase is password protected, but the password should be easy for you to remember it is support.
A series of the popular one-hour
webinars have been scheduled for August. Scott Wilson will again conduct these
sessions, which will cover topics such as Stock Inventory, Advanced Invoicing,
Report Design, the Corrective Action Module, Production Posting, and
Packing/Shipping.
More details and the complete schedule can be found in the Training section of the Foy Inc website. But hurry the first webinar on Stock Inventory is Tuesday morning, August 1.
On Tuesday, August 8, three Foy Inc
representatives will host a reception for EPICS users in the Youngstown
area. The reception will be held at the Holiday Inn in Boardman,
beginning at 5:00PM.
John Stenger, Scott Wilson, and Chris Delzell will be hosting the informal gathering, and will be answering questions you might have on any EPICS feature. They will also be soliciting your input on the four proposed EPICS modules that were requested on this years Wishlist Physical Inventory, Fabrication, Billet PO, and Stock Inventory.
Please stop by and visit with John, Scott, and Chris, as well as other EPICS users in the Youngstown area, between 5:00 and 9:00 PM. If you can attend, please contact Stacy (stacy@foyinc.com) before Friday, August 4, so we can plan for enough chips and drinks.
