ALEX is the ALuminum EXpert for your extrusion tooling needs.  It matches new dies to existing backers, saving you from automatically building a new backer for each new die.  It also matches backers to bolsters and sub-bolsters. 

ALEX will create your library of backers from existing drawings, or will convert scanned images of your "knockouts" to drawings.  It even contains a CAD program to let you quickly clean up scanned images. 

ALEX identifies critical tongues and calculates the stress on those tongues.
